SVQ Qualifications

Social Service workers are required to work towards their SVQ and complete a relevant qualification within five years. An SVQ can also act as a gateway to higher qualifications and access to a wide range of roles in the care sector.

About the course

The SVQ is completed by creating a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates they have a good understanding of a particular area and can perform related tasks to a high standard. The portfolio is completed at the learner’s own pace, with the guidance of their allocated assessor.
